I stopped caring when Michael Johns was voted off. This season is not that thrilling at all. In fact the biggest highlight (except for Michael Johns) was when Fantasia performed last week and the camera went to Simon's horrified face.

Ive been a David Cook fan all along too, but I dont think he is going to win it. I dont think he did his best tonight, and agree with Simon, he should have sung Billie Jean. I think his first song was WAY better than David Archuletta's. It seems like the judges have been a little one sided with their comments tonight too. My husband started saying last week that it seemed they were all pulling for David A. David Cook is much more of a performer and sings the more popular types of music. David Archuletta is more of the soft rock type, not really "pop" music.


About the hair smelling, Jenny used to have long braids and we know some people with dreads, and they don't smell at all, once they are locked you wash them like you would wash regular hair.

I had a friend in high school that had long braids too, and hers never smelled at all. Even so, I wondered if Jason's hair smelled since Im not sure how exactly they do that to their hair and it looks like there is a lot more matting to it.

We tried to vote for David Cook - but as usual in Cincinnati - busy the whole time. Cincinnati is a huge reality tv watching city. Both will do well no matter what I would think, but stinks that there aren't enough phone lines to get in to vote for your favorite. David A. did the best last night - but I voted for who I thought was the American Idol in my eyes. I'd want to go to a David Cook concert not a David A. concert. Both great singers - different styles.

I almost think David Cook hopes he comes in 2nd. Not winning has worked out well for quite a few people.

I liked David A's first song actually and I thought if he had sung like that the whole competition, and not so sicky sweet disney land ish, putting all sorts of weird runs where they don't belong, I would have liked him better. But I still loved everything David C did. the viewer written songs they had to pick from, as usual, simply stunk. At least they didn't pick one song for both to sing, at least they let them pick their own view written song.

Like OSU Mom - I want to go to a david cook concert, not a david A concert. I'd buy a david cook cd, not a david A cd.

We like David C better, though, although there is no denying how "good" A's voice is. LIke others, I'd download a Cook song before an A song...

I thought it was a little crappy the way the judges threw David Cook under the bus. Seems like they just wanted to appear to be backing the winner.

David Cook fan here too...IMO he's the best because he's the most original. David A has a great voice, but he mosly sings ballads. That would make for a really long boring concert. For some reason I kept picturing him singing the ballads for Disney movies:cwds:

My two other favorites were Carly and Michael Johns. Watch for Shieka(sp?) On broadway;)

BTW, I saw a clip of Simon on a talk show saying that he thought David Cook should win, he said he deserved it.:cool:

Can someone tell me what is so great about David A's voice? It seems to lack power, and he always sounds like he's out of breath. I really think the judges have really overrated this guy (reminds me of how they all went nuts for Fantasia in season 3:rolleyes: and I was :confused::eek: - you've got to be kidding)

His ballads are boring, and he belongs in some dopey boy band. I don't see long term commercial success for that kid. I don't know, maybe I have too much wax in my ears (as Mark like to tell me).

I've had several theories on Simon's comments last night.

1) He chose D.A. overall so that D.C. fans would get out their phones and vote.

2) He doesn't want D.C. to win so that he can have more freedom in the contract he picks up after AI for his career.

3) He really saw D.A. as being the best last night plain and simple.

I think the winner of AI should be the best overall and that the comments of the judges overall last night should have reflected their performances over the long haul and what their career could be down the road.

Both will do well in a singing career. I really think Simon did a reverse psychology thing last night - hoping D.C. will win tonight - and they have a rocker win this evening - AI needs a boost like that.

Oh - and one more thing....... and I really need a life!!:D

BTW, what's so special about these Jonas Brothers? I missed the intro and when I walked into the livingroom, I was excited that I recognized the boys and Nick. Had never heard any of their songs. DW almost changed the channel and I said: "No wait, these are the boys that I was telling you about that everybody talks about on CWD!" Told her that he's the one with the pump, can you see it?? Then we looked at each other and both said at the same time... "They are singing off key". It was horrible! My wife said to me: "And why are these guys so popular again?" I looked at the TV and the camera was on a couple 5 year old girls dancing and I pointed to the TV and I said: "because of them." And then I said: "I guess it's because he dated Hannah Montana?" I like Sayesha, she's beautiful, great voice, great smile, great entertainer, and like Carrie Underwood, great legs (I'm jealous of her too). She was great with Seal, and prettier than Heidi Klum if you want my opinion. I think she has improved the most. It was nice to see Michael Johns (thump thump goes my heart) again!.

Gladys Knight and the Pips were great, was that Ben Stiller or David A. to the left (I always get them confused) - LOL

Yeah, it's all about hygiene...and his looked clean. I have a few peeps with dreads and they don't stink.My friend Jeannes' hair has some homemade scent that she won't give up the recipe on:mad:
