My hubby drowned our car yesterday. We experienced a crazy series of rainstorms yesterday. He dropped me off at work, and was headed home when he hit a puddle. Apparently, the city didn't clean the storm drain, because the puddle ended up being quite deep. So deep, in fact, that he waterlogged the engine. Thankfully, the local PD came and pushed him out of the puddle. He was able to park the car in a safe place while one of my co-workers brought him back to the office.

They had it towed last night. BIL is a mechanic, so he's giving us tips on how to dry it out. But when the car was put on the truck last night, water poured from the muffler. We also know that the air filter was soaked. We don't know if the car will start again, and since we have no mass transit system, we need a car so I can get back and forth to work.

*sigh* It's been a strange year. We won't forget 2008 soon.

Sorry for your car troubles!! That really sucks!!

I wished they could make a 'wring-dry' system for cars...they can 'pimp' cars up with everything but that...go figure! :)
