I keep getting emails informing me that I have won the UK l o t t e r y:rolleyes: I get an email like this every week and I delete them every time they come..
Now I am no dummy, I know that in order to win the l o t t e r y I need to buy a ticket, since I have not done this, there is no way I could have won :p
Yeah, I know it is a scam :D

More importantly, you need to figure out how to get your ISP to filter out the spam.

I have the same problem. I somehow got on the list of some survey company. I used to block them as spam, but then I realized that they were coming through from a different email address each time. It's annoying but I just delete it.

You know what is sad? I work at a credit union and you wouldn't believe the amount of people that come in with checks that they received in the mail because they "won the canadian lotter" or "won the megabucks in Alabama" (nothing against alabama, I've just seen it say that!) when they've never been or know anyone is Alabama! Or they received an email and gave all of their personal info and banking info to a company they never heard of. We always tell our members that we will NEVER send an email requesting this info and to NEVER release any info!
I amazes me everytime that someone actually believe this stuff!

:eek::eek:
This reminds me, I used to have an account at Bank of America and I closed this account over a year ago..A week or so I received an email from 'Bank of America' stating that there was some unusual activity on my debit card with them..This email looked authentic..But since I know I closed my account with them I forwarded the email to Bank of America and they responded that it was indeed fake and that they never ask personal information in an email nor do they have you click on a link in an email body, and they would investigate and have the web address linked to this email shut down.
I also forwarded it to my husband at work, and he told me that he clicked on the link in the email body and it took him to a site that asked for my SS# address, bank account number from other banks..Basically information that Bank of America would never ask..
As I mentioned before, the email I received looked authentic and it would not surprise me at all if someone fell for their scam :eek:

I get those too, especially the ones from people pretending to be some orphan Deaf person that is the heir to a royal fortune. I can kit the scam mail button so fast. It really amazes me that people actually fall for those things
