Let's use this area for non-diabetes related discussions.

OK Jeff, but sometimes it's hard to know what's O.T. and what's not.
Sure there's things that are obviously O.T. but there are many other things that are kind of O.T. but have a different impact for us BECAUSE we are dealing with D.
For example if someone starts a thread on saving money on groceries, that may seem O.T., but because of the cost of D supplies and because we may buy more expensive D friendly foods, it is D related.

I'm not sure I'd know where to draw the line.

I think it will help sort a lot of things out and be able to find all of our threads better. Some things are obviously O/T. We can put them here. I'm sure we (as a group) will figure it out. Just liek we figure out or children's D.

Great idea, but everytime I hit the Parents of Children with type 1 link, it goes to the OT forum, the only was I can read a thread in the type 1 forum is to click next or previous thread, so I am not getting the whole view of threads.

Just hit "New Posts" like me and you'll see them all

For me, I love this because I think the Type 1 Parents forum is too crowded.

If its about D management, I say put it in the T1 Parents forum, otherwise put it in OT

I wish the other messages, though, would be in the right forums more - it would also clean up the "Parents" more, such as pumping in pumping, CGMS in CGMS, school issues in school issues. It would get more people to go to those forums and help T1 Parents be more navigable, especially for the newer folks. But that's just my 2pennies.

Thanks I knew there was a way that it would work.

I have a question about the photo albums, you can make it public or private, but with the private setting it says only contacts and moderators will be able to view..Who is considered to be a contact?

"Contacts" is probably your friends list, which you now can set up in your user control panel.

What I have learned about being a parent of a child with diabetes is that NOTHING is off-topic.
