My non-D son Hawke talks incessantly. He just talks and talks and talks. It seems that he is never quiet even when he is alone. This morning, after hearing him talk for far too often this morning, (I am tired and we are moving today) I said to him, "Hawke, you know you can stop talking for a while." His reply to me was, "I haven't been talking all night. I need time to talk now." UGH!!

:D I have one of those too. And he talks in his sleep alot. When I go in to do a check before I go to bed, we sometimes carry on a conversation.:D

I hope you have a good, talkative, day moving.:)

I like to talk a lot too :o The other week I had laryngitis and I lost my voice for a week! I thought it'd never come back, it was torture! :p

Think of it as background music...only not very well written songs...

Good luck moving today!

My 6 yr old son is a talker too. What's embarrassing is if we are out somewhere and he will start talking to anyone who will listen to him about Star Wars or this or that toy that is important to him at that time lol I am always saying "I'm sorry if he is bothering you" lol :o

Emma talks too much too. Every time I think will you just be quiet for a minute, I think of her cousin and then I'm grateful that Emma doesn't talk that much or as loudly.

My baby girl is a talker as well. She talks All. The. Time. I ask her to be quiet for a minute: she'll say, "Sorry, Mommy," give me The Cute Look, and start up again. I can never tell a difference when her sugar is high, low or normal, because she's always talking: always happy. She starts to shake a little when her sugar gets low, but she's still chatty.

My oldest son is the same way! I sometimes feel bad because I just have to stop him and remind him he needs to stop talking so he can put the food in his mouth and chew....and if he doesn't he will be late for school..

Sometimes I am in a hurry and he is trailing behind me talking....talking...talking. I feel like screaming, but I want him to feel like he can talk to me about anything...so I keep my mouth shut and knob of say "Ohh" or "wow"

Hmmm...I wonder who he got this trait from:o

Cayden does the same... Continously talking.. It does get on my nerves sometimes, but doesn't bother me nearly as much as it bothers his Daddy.. It drives him crazy.. He said does he ever shut up, I'm like no not really.. He talks in his sleep everynight!!

My dd gets likes to talk constantly when her bg is in just the right range. She'll be just jabbering away. After about an hour I find myself thinking of ways to get her out of range, so she'll be quiet. I don't do anything, but the thought has crossed my mind after the 15 rendition of her favorite book.:)

This thread is so funny!!!!

There are times when Kelton is a jabber jaw, and I too have wanted to say stop talking for just 5 minutes so I can have some peace..But I never say a word, unless it is almost time for bed and everyone is tired, then I gently tell him it is time to wind down for quiet time. I have him read before bed and this seems to settle him mind down.

Now my non-D child is as quiet as a mouse, he will not talk unless he has something very important to say..Unless his mom has sent him over to our house with some candy  and then he is Mr.I-can't-stop-talking-until-you-have-lost-your-mind :D

His favorite question is 'why', he will ask the same question over and over and over again...He is 13 and I wonder if he will grow out of it

I think until then I will get a pair of those foam things you squish and place in your ears and just keep saying 'oh, really?' or 'uh-huh' :D

I :D

My dd is only 5. I was really hoping she would out-grow the constant "whys". I swear she argues with us about everything. Typical conversation.

"Today's Thursday."
"No, it's not. It's Friday."
"Honey, I've looked at the calendar. It's Thursday. Yesterday was Wednesday. Remember our days of the week song. Today's Thursday. Tomorrow's Friday."
"Nope, I want it to be Friday. Why does it have to be Thursday?"

ARGGGGGG!!!!!!! Where's that roll of Lifesavers?

She's going to be a fantastic debater!

Normally when I'm at the doctors office, I just want to get in and then go home ASAP but on one particular visit, a young couple was checking in with their new born baby and their 4 year old daughter. As I was making a bee line for the door, this absolutely charming 4 year old spotted me and said "hey mister, you wanna see my BRAND NEW sister?" and those words stopped me in my tracks. Her parents were worried that she was annoying me but the fact was that I enjoyed every minute listening to this 4 year old go on and on and on about how awesome it was to have a brand new sister.
