May 28th at 7:30am.. she will be the first one... I asked when scheduling it.. I said now she'll be first right, and she said that she'd be pretty close to first, if not first because of her age (they do it by age there).. so I said well she is Type 1 and she said, yup, then age doesn't matter and she'd definitely be first.. so we have to be there for 6:30am.. meaning we have to leave the house by 5:30am:eek:
of course, if that blood work comes back A-OK then we won't need to worry about it:rolleyes:

Kim- My thoughts are with you and your family. Let's hope for the best on the blood work...
Is she having this done in Manchester?

I completely understand your fears. Just 3 weeks ago we had to take Cameron in for the same proceedure. Although he is much older than Kaylee, he really did well. He was not happy at all about having it done, but it went much better than we expected. We had to be at the hospital early too. Like 5:50 am so we were up by 4 am. Very long exhausting day. The only bummer is that we still don't know what to do about the imflammation in his small bowel. The specialist are all stumped. Sooooo frustrating.
Good Luck ~ God Bless

Yes, she's having it done at CHAD in Manchester.. Kaylee asked the other day what it was all about.. I tried to explain in little kids terms, and trying not to freak her out.. I told her that there may be something her belly doesn't like.. and we have to find out if it likes it or not so we are going to go to the dr he's going to give her some medicine to make her feel silly and sleepy.. she'll take a little nap, and they are going to stick a little itty bitty camera in her belly and look around.. I didn't tell her they'll take a piece.. I think that'll freak her out.. I said then you'll wake up, and we'll go home.. she asked if it would hurt, and I said nope, you'll be having silly sleepy dreams LOL.. Then she asked what it was that her belly didn't like.. so Iwas explaining that, but said that we'll find stuff it does like similar to the other stuff.. didn't have the heart to tell her that it would mean no more McD's chicken nuggets though and fries! So, I think she's ok with it.. but she really doesn't know whats going on.. I assume they have to do an IV and all, so I'll make sure they do EMLA for that.. either I'll put it on here at home or they can do it right when we get there, either way, she won't feel that:)

Blessed,
Have you considered doing an elimination diet even though celiac testing has been inconclusive? Gluten and dairy would be the first two on the list, but there could be other foods as well - soy, corn are other biggies. If you've run the gauntlet of tests and the docs are still scratching their...heads, it would be something to consider. What have you got to loose - besides the inflammation?
I was told no celiac disease - just chronic inflammation of the stomach and to stay on my reflux meds. Yeah, well the reflux meds weren't helping. The only thing that helped was removing gluten from my diet. No more reflux meds! :)
Good luck!!

How did her endoscopy go? Do you have any results back?
