o/t non d child sick again

okay, my son was acting off last night and I checked his temp and low grade fever. 100.7
We did our normal activity but i did give him some tylenol.
THis am I woke him up(unheard of except when sick), smelling of nail polish remover(ketones). i have him pee in a cup cause the blood ones are out of pocket. Very purple. Okay, I check blood ketones 4.8 mmol/L, bg 61 and body temp of 97.
Ihave a call into the doc to find out if we need to be seen again but I do not like that he gets sick with a virus, low body temp, sometimes low bg with raging ketones.
So far these have always gone away on their own but any thoughts???:confused:

It is prefectly normal for nondiabetics to have ketones when sick. I wouldn't worry that is is diabetes.

When I pregnant with the twins I was sooooo sick..I had ketones every time they were checked, and I'm non-d..Like Amy said it is normal for non-d to have ketones when sick..

I am sorry, no I am not worried at all that he has diabetes but am getting concnered that he keeps getting these viruses with no real symptoms except low bg, high ketones. this is his 4th time this year with this. clears up on its own, no meds but the last time when his bg was in the low 40's and he was incohereant we did bloodwork that came back strange but unconclusive.
I guess just more of a whine. but not worried about D for him at all from these happenings. Just wondering if others had dealings with viruses showing signs like this.:confused:
