We have been to Disney World several times... but this (in August) is our first trip to the West Coast! Please tell me what you know about Disneyland. We will be in CA for a wedding, so we have to go on a weekend. We have two boys with diabetes. We are wondering if we will be able to get a GAC, and looking for any other tips you have! Thanks! -Allison

Yes you are able to get a GAC. Disneyland like Disneyworld is very accomodating. I go to disneyland a few times each year and have never had a problem with them.

We were there last weekend. I tried several different people and none of them would offer the GAC. The fast pass system worked quite well for us though.

I agree on the GAC, they don't offer them at Disneyland. The bag checks are fairly cursory so we never have trouble taking in multiple juice boxes, water, granola bars etc. Last time we were there we ate at the French Market restaurant and they do reasonable kids meals that include small portion of fruit (not as greasy as some of the other places we've tried at the park) and decent salads. California Adventure is worth a look - Soaring over California, the Aladdin performance and the Bugs Life show were good.
Do you have a travel letter from the endo? That could be helpful for being allowed to bring food/juice with you into the park.

There was no problem whatsover bringing in backpacks full of juice, water and snacks. They check but they never questioned it at all. I saw people bringing in coolers. I think they must be looking for firearms or something not food.
