Anyone have any idea? We have our first illness since diagnosis. This is Alison's first actual sore throat and she's not liking it. I have non-sugar-free cepacol lozenges. I was thinking of letting her have one until I can get out later to get some sugar free ones. She's in a very strong honeymoon, with her A1C from 2 days ago at 6.4. What do you think?

probably minimal. I'd just let her have it. Especially if she's honeymooning.

I found this on cepacol's website:
Each Cepacol® Lozenge contains approximately 9 calories. Sugar-free Cepacol® Lozenges contain approximately 5 calories.

so just from the calories alone, I'd suspect it's very little sugar since I think it's 1g of sugar has 4 calories.

We lived off of them last weekend. I just gave and didn't worry to much. My DD ran very high from the sore throat virus and actually needed 200% insulin increase and lits of gatorade and insulin to keep ketones at bay.

Thank you. I did give her one. I'll get some sugar free ones in a little while. Alison's fasting bg this morning was 111; so far, so good. No fever yet either; I think it's just a cold.
