Hi!
Does anyone have to prime their tubing often due to bubbles with diluted insulin? We are debating on switching to U100 Humalog with Cadence. We are currently using U50. Does it help if you let it sit for a while to settle before filling the cartridge? Or would it help to switch to U100 and not dilute? Any ideas or experience would be helpful!
Thanks :)

I don't have any experience with humalog (Kaylee uses novolog) but if the vial is cold, then yes, let it get to room temp first.. you could fill the resevoir and let it sit until room temp, then knock the bubbles out, or let the vial sit out and then fill the resevoir... we get more bubbles during the summer months.. when it gets warm out that ones thing that we are constantly looking for.

We use Humalog U100. We rarely have bubbles. When we have an unexplained high, I look for bubbles, but rarely find them. But, if I follow Kim's train of thought, we haven't been pumping in a summer yet, so there could be something to the heat

We use U100 and we still get bubbles. I try to check his tubing a couple of times a day and prime any out that I see.
