we're pumpin now!!

we went today at 2 for our pump hook up appointment and things went very well...the site insertion went better than i expected, she was a little reluctant but did well and the site is comfortable ...we even got to do the first bolus there at the office so that was good that she ended up needing one so that we had the educator there for the first time...after we left it was almost dinner time and for being such a little star she got to have Macdonald's....which is a rare treat now and we did a bolus for dinner and so far so good things are going smooth and hopefully will stay that way...now for the fun part of getting up at 12am and 3am to check her ....but hey mommy can sleep later lol...and its great to know that her diabetes educator is just one call away no matter what time it is if we have any problems or questions .....i knew she was going to one of the best dr's in this state but they are really proving it ...it dosent matter how much i call they are always so nice and happy to help which has made things so much easier ...of course i wouldnt expect less from wake forest baptist medical center ....i know we all worry about our little angles and i thank god i have such a great team of people helping mine :o

I just got started with the animas 2020 today as well, and my pump rep was telling my mom and me that one-touch is partnered with animas, and within the next two years they'll have meters that "talk" to the pumps, and I believe dexcom is creating a cgm that works with animas pumps.

well so far so good with everything ...only problem was mommy couldnt go back to sleep after the 3am check but thats not because of the pump its from a stupid cold and i couldndt breath good laying down so after an hour and a half i just gave up trying to sleep anymore ...hope things continue to go this smooth ...
