I got a letter from BCBS and they are having a meeting on May 12 to review my second appeal for cgms - I have a choice of being there in person, on phone, not at all or sending someone. Does anyone have any advice or thoughts?
They also said I was allowed to send in other documentation if needed.
I am not sure what to do now.....

I personally would want to be there if I had an option. With an endo or nurse from their staff would be great.

They moved the meeting to May 27 - so nothing to report yet....

It is in your best interest to be present for the meeting (either in person or on the phone) just to be able to make a better case against their initial denial. No presence at the meeting could demonstrate a lack of interest in the device itself. Don't give them any potential excuse to deny the cgms. You need to use every advantage possible to get your approval, so show up. I recommend you record the meeting too, just for your record, in case they deny the cgms again. You can make a case against them on your next appeal, just based on what they said.

Our 2nd level appeal was overturned and we have now been approved for cgms. I am both excited and nervous because now I have yet another thing to learn!!!!!!!!
