View Full Version : WE did it! Aetna CGM approval
I am so excited to say that we finally received CGM approval for Simon! WE have been working on this for about a year. We have received numerous denials & this was basically our last shot. Aetna officially denied us & we submitted it for an "outside review". WE just got the letter today that said they overturned Aetna's denial. I am so excited! For all of those out there trying to get approval, STICK WITH IT! We were told by a few people that Simon would not get approved b/c he is so young (he is now 4), or that Aetna has not approved it for anyone & that I am wasting my time. We are proof that it just isn't so! I am just so elated & although my family is excited too, they just won't understand like you all!

That's so exciting!
I was just reading the review again & realized that the person who overturned it was a pediatric endo - yipee! Someone who actually knows what we are going through! When we had the appeals through Aetna, it was so frustrating b/c no one really seemed to be able to relate. It seems almost surreal that it was approved!
