It was the dinner testing time for Deacon and he was busy taking his sweet time coming to me. His 6 year old brother Sebastian kept pestering me to test him. I finally gave in and tested Sebastian. I am amazed that Sebi wanted to be tested. His number was 135 while Deacon's was 188. I looked at the 135 and thought that it was slightly above normal but he had been drinking apple juice all afternoon including right before being tested. Sebastian can be strange sometimes.

Were his hands clean?

Yep his hands were clean. I am not terribly concerned about his number. I think that him wanting to be tested is weird.

ROFL!! I just took Deacon's number and he was 135. Now I am wondering if Sebastian is able to predict what Deacon will be. I know it is impossible since Sebastian is not diabetic but that was freaky.

Skylar loves to get tested, but she hates needles
I would not worry about his bg I was told when I asked that if you ever test and are over 11.1 or 200, not matter when or what they ate, then contact there Dr. under that is normal
Of my three non-D children, one says "NOT me!", one said "mee too" until the first poke, and my youngest still asks to be tested.
I've tested all of our family at the same time before and Nick's bg was the LOWEST!!!!!

My daughter will ask to be checked once in a while. She even comes up to us after dinner saying she needs to have her pump done. We pretend to push buttons on her imaginary pump and she goes happily on her way. That said, she's 3.

My 2 yr old (non-D) has asked to be tested a couple of times. I only test him when I have to test Ian. And recently they were fighting about it too, where Ian told Alex he had to get diabetes first and should ask me for some  Kids...gotta love their logic.
I think it's jealously and attention-needing, IMHO.

LOL Ian is smart. I didn't know that mothers kept things like diabetes in supply. ROFL
