It amazes me every day how my son comforts me when he knows I feel bad about hurting him with shots, finger pokes, etc. One day I said to him "I wish I could have diabetes instead of you." To my surprise, he said "No mom. I don't want you to have diabetes because I love you so much." He also says "That's ok mom. I still love you." and gives ME a big hug after I get an error message testing his blood sugar or giving him a shot that bleeds. Also, when he was hospitalized for stomach flu and had to have an IV, he didn't cry or complain about anything. I know he was aware that it would make me upset to see him in pain, so he kept his crying and pain to himself.

What do your kids do to comfort you? How do they make you feel better? Aren't our kids amazing???

Our kids certainly are amazing. Trey is very brave. That in itself is very comforting to me. I know when I start a new set it hurts him. Oh how I hate that, but he never complains.
