Just wondering if your diabetes supplies are fully covered or not?
How is insurance in your area?
Is the pump also covered? (how popular is the pump, anyway, where you live?)

Thanks for the input.

The pump usually isn't prescribed for those under 12 even (at least in our area). We had to fight tooth and nail to get her on it, and that was only after I brought in the article about the un-tethered method.

However it's turned out good, and I think our Endo has relaxed a bit seeing how well we've done and put more kids on the pump younger then 12.

Anyway the pump was free, all pump supplies, blood testing supplies are free. We only a pay a €5 copay for 3 months supply insulin and a €20 copay for Endo visits every 3 months. We also get a small monthly stipend as carers of a diabetic child from the Diabetic Union.

This doesn't even come close to comparing what I paid for her care, even with health insurance in the States.
