possible move to US - Insurance?

Hi everyone,

a good opportunity has presented itself and we are considering making a move to California and I am unsure about health insurance and whether we would qualify.

We are 100% out of pocket for Cadence's diabetes as it stands now, moving to the US and being self-employed most likely takes diabetes coverage out of the equation unless someone can correct me on that. We would need emergency medical coverage however.

What types of coverages would I be looking at for our family? Which HMO groups are sensitive to diabetic families?

Brad - my husband is self employed and we are a family of four. In order to get our own coverage it was going to cost $1100 / mo for decent coverage. Blue Cross is a huge provider in California - you may want to call or go on the Internet to get some quotes. There is also Healthy Families but there are income limits. Good luck.
