After reading all the positive info about Multiclix on this site, I checked my insurance to see if they would cover the lancets. They do, so that was great. I then asked about the lancing device and they said no! That it usually comes with the meter. Well, we like the Freestyle Lite, I just wanted to try the Multiclix as I read it did not hurt as much. DD has always wanted to test on her forearm, so getting her to test on her fingertips is an ordeal. I thought the Multiclix might help us with this challenge. Anyway, called Accu-check and they said they would send me a meter. I told them that I appreciate that, but we are happy with the Freestyle and really wanted to just try the Multiclix, I was willing to purchase it. They couldn't have been nicer - said no problem, we'll send you the meter anyway and maybe she will want to try it ( I did feel a little bad knowing they will do that so you will hopefully switch meters and use their strips.) I told them I appreciated it, but was there any way I could get two for a backup at school? I thought to myself, wow, I'm really pushing it - I told the lady I don't want to use their meter and she is being so nice! She again said no problem. I just got the mail and have two new meters and Multiclix. Maybe we'll try the meter - if not, I'll offer it up here! I know it's all about sales, but I still thought the customer service rep was very nice!

Funny - I bought the meter with the multiclix for a back-up - It was cheaper to get a meter with a drum and a multiclix then it was to just buy the multiclix!

I picked up a new Accu-chek at the JDRF walk a week ago....just to get an extra MultiClix....and it has a coupon to get an extra meter for school..... I also filled out a survey or something online a few weeks ago to get a meter. We too use the Freestyle since we have those strips for Danielle's Cozmonitor, but she won't use any other lancing device. Here in a few months, I'll probably be offering up my extra meters again to someone who can use them.

I had the exact same experience when I wanted to get a multiclick - Just called for the clicker and they said they'd be happy to send it and send a meter too, even though I told them I wasn't going to switch. But they did anyway. They were very accommodating.

I have used Accu Chek products for years. They have great customer service.
I have a multi clix with every meter I use and a couple of spares.
