UGH!!!!

I called the Base Clinic to make a follow-up appointment for Kelton and myself only to find out that our Primary Care Doctor is being deployed to the Middle East :eek:

I understand that this happens with the doctors at the Base Clinic, however, just when I get comfortable with one doctor I now have to get used to a new one to fill her place for 6-8 months :o

UGH, UGH, UGH.. but on a good note I have an appointment at 0730 tomorrow morning to see if my sinus infection has gone away..

Ugh! That would be rough. I hope you get a fabulous Doc as a fill in.

I have been seeing my primary care doc for over a year, and she is only going to be here for two more years, well now it looks like she will be spending more time in the Middle East..She is a Flight Surgeon and she is good at figuring out what has been wrong with me.

Last year I told her I kept having nightmares that I was drowning, and her response was for me to have a sleep study. The sleep study showed that I have obstructive sleep apnea :eek: I was blessed with a very narrow airway.. All my other doctors in the past told me that since I am a woman it had to be depression:rolleyes:

I am going to miss her, she was test happy and I am so glad she was. She is the one who suspected I have D (LADA) and because of her, I found out she was right.

I am sure the other doctors on Base are good, it is just going to take some time getting used to a new one.

Aahhh...the wonderful world of military medicine.

I would like to know if you got a letter or email notifying you of your PCM change. It's a pet peeve of mine.

No, I did not..First I heard of it was when I called today to schedule a follow-up appointment, that is when they told me over the phone that my doc is not taking appointments because she is being deployed.

I just got back from my 0730 appointment with my new Primary Care doc..My sinus infection has gotten worse :mad: so another round of antibiotics, an antihistamine and Claritin. Claritin is to be taken once a day, the amoxicillian 3x a day and the antihistamine 2x a day..

Now my new Primary Care doc cannot be the one to give me my yearly female exam, he is just too darn hunky..That man is really good-looking :o

I even told him when it is time for my yearly exam he cannot be the one to do it, it has to be someone else, he had no problem with that..But he did ask why :o

All I said was 'because' and he laughed..

I did find out that the quack Endo I fired refuses to send my medical reports to the Base Clinic, he can't do that since they are the ones who referred me to him in the first place. So, I had to fill out an official form requesting my files. My new Primary Care doc will call me when he gets them.

My new Endo knows that I get my test strips at the Base pharmacy and thought that the pharmacy would not take a prescription from an outside doctor, so a prescription was never written up..My new doc on Base will call to see how many test strips I am to get a month and then have them filled on Base..So, I get to wait a couple days for test strips :eek: Until then I will take some of Kelton's...
