Hi all

UPDATE
I just wanted to give you all an update on my friend and her son. They got home last night.. Everything is all a bit overwhelming still. I know the mom just wants all this to be a dream.. SHe is looking forward to be able to meet you all. her son is doing wonderful.. HE is running around and looks so much better than he has in a while.

KEEP EDUCATING
I know we often wonder if any of our friends and other listen to us.. I can testament to that... they do.. Me and my friend have known each other for since the kids where in preschool...( aprox 3 years) We dont get to always see each other since the kids go to diffrent schools, but when we do she has always asked some type of questions on diabetes.. And because of that she was able to see the signs early and befor he was in DKA... SO PLEASE KEEP EDUCATING IT WORKS...

AND A BIT OF A SCARRY QUINKY DINK
Ok so being diagnosed as a type one is supposed to be something like 1-500 or something to that effect.. either way its not supposed to be common.. Well in the 3.5 years that we have been diagnosed its been crazy with people we know being diagnisosed.... and all the similarities.. NOW i know 110% and then some that diabetes is not contagious.. but read on.. Charlzie was diagnosed 1-4-05 ..........6 months later our 23 year old neighbor was diagnossised... We later went to preschool.... all was well.. We then went to kindergarten and met rory who was diagnosised a few months befor but who had went to summer camp at the sameplace charlzie went to preschool... charlize goes to a new school this year that has not had a diabetic for many years.. NOT ONE.. we go and a kids gets diagnosed and we now have 2.. then i find out a girl from the same preschool class of only 18 kids was diagnosed sometime last year.. and now brody also from the same preschool class of only 18 kids was diagnosed,... and whos mom works at the same preschool...........IS THIS CREEPY OR WHAT

Makes you wonder if the mysterious "environment" factor is in play here.

Or it could be the "new car syndrome"....after you buy a new car all of a sudden you start seeing that particular car eveytime you are driving....could just be a matter of perception....but that is strange....
