In line with the Diabetes Awareness Day today, how is everyone doing with your quilts - those of you who have it a goal to work on one?
I finished Dean's over the weekend. I printed on these canvas sheets that you put through a deskjet printer, and then I machine stitched around the outside edge. It was very easy. Thanks Jeff for that hint.
I'm going to show Dean his quilt when he's home this coming weekend then I'll turn it in. Here it is. It's not perfect (was difficult to keep the canvas straight when stitching on the machine), but I like it. Keep at it everyone!!! :cwds:

WOW! I can't sew, quilt, knit...NOTHING. I'm very impressed. I hope to get my mom to help me one of these days.

very nice job. I did start one, but now have a broken foot, so I've pushed it aside, but I definetly will have it done by the July 1st deadine for DC.

Great job Laurie!!!!
Tyler came up with the ideas/design for his quilt and my mom made it for him. Now I just have to package it up and mail it! I can't figure out how to put the picture in my post though, so I just put it up there!!

Just about done with Tresston's quilt. Well....I don't know how to quilt, so I asked a lady I know that knows how to quilt, and she is helping us. Should be done with it later this week.:D

I'm in serious need of an education on the quilt making. Who see's them? where do they go? What's the deadline for? Sorry but I just don't know. Thanks everyone. Looks like I have to learn how to sew. Argh!

Some of us were attempting to get ours done in time for the display at the FFL conference this summer, and Jeff needs them by July 1. Other than this next event, there's not a deadline it just keeps going and going :). The quilts are displayed at all FFL conferences so if not this one, the next! ;)
I'm not a sewing person. Here's where the Quilt for Life info is on the Web site.

Laurie the quilt looks great! Where do you buy the canvas sheets for the printer? Staples or a craft store? I am not crafty at all but it sounds pretty easy if you use those canvas sheets.
