Evan is being the biggest, most obnoxious jerk this afternoon. He was fine up until he came out of his room after his 5 minute "nap". I'm not sure if I should post here or on the Asperger's forum LOL

BG at 12:00 was 139. He didn't want lunch when he came home so he just watched TV for a bit, then "rested". At 1:15 he decided he was hungry so he ate ham, veggies, a granola bar and yogurt.

We played outside and jumped on the trampoline but he was still a pain in the $$$. At 2:00 his BG was 96 so he had an apple with no bolus. At 2:30 he checked himself and BG was 63 when I rechecked it was 94. So is he low or not??? I gave him a PB sandwich uncovered since we're supposed to go to his friend's house to run around like a maniac.

Now he's in a time out because he keeps tackling DD who is 3. His behavior is usually better at his friend's house and nothing like the mess he is right now.

Do I chalk this up to D, AS, or him being 5? Guess it doesn't matter. I still want to smack that smirk off his face.:mad::mad:

LOL.. Sorry but can't help but laugh as this sounds exactly like my children.. I'm thinking it could be the fact that he is 5.. My 6 yr old acts the same way.. And I want to knock him for a loop sometimes.. i do hope that your day gets better though!

sorry... couldn't help but laugh at this post. Sounds like my boys and they are 12 and 13 and don't have Diabetes or AS.... think it may just be a boy thing...

Ditto that...got a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old...who drive me insane...

I think it's part of kids' contract, you know the small writing noone ever looks at. It supposedly states that kids are obliged, once in a while (or more often, depending on inflation and weather permitting) to totally deprive their parents of any sense of patience and/or mental stability.

Seriously, hope you can take a deep breath and a coffee (or chocolate break), and hopefully things will get better, like say...tomorrow;)

PS - I'm working on getting that contract changed...very unfair to us mothers, don't you think? :D

I blame it all on the D, AS, age, and the fact that he is a boy..lol

Everything sounds just like jess, except for the smirk on the face.. that is 100% my boys.

Hope he settles down and you can get atleast a short break this afternoon.

Are you at my house and I didn't know it...Davis is being the same way lately, I just want to smack him(ok not really smack but you know what I mean)..I feel like all I do all day long is say don't hit your sister, don't hit your brother, don't throw that, quit jumping off the furniture, you get the point..It's getting really frustrating..

I know how you feel! My son is 9 now, and he's just starting to recognize he feels "different" when he's high. But he's been diagnosed ADHD and I'm looking into other things like anxiety disorder, ODD, bi-polar...who knows! I feel for you though. You just want to roll the dice and what ever it lands on is what I'm going to treat.

Good luck,

Charmed

Ahhh, I can rest easy now. He got everything out of his system at his friends house.

I know we are all in the same boat at one time or another. Wouldn't it be nice to have it scheduled on the calendar - like an unwanted holiday - so we could plan around it? :D

Hey, I have to stick up for the little guy. Boys are not the only ones who can be a handful....lets not forget the little girls....but I don't want to start a gender war here, so I will just say this....at least he had good numbers!!:D

Oh I wasn't meaning it as a gender war issues.. Jess is just as much a handful as her brothers, but just in a different way. The things she described sounds like my boys, more so then my daughter, but I know girls can be just like that too.

I could start a whole forum just for coping with my daughter. She is in a class all by herself - driving the bus to and from. At least with my son, I have several scapegoat options. For her, God only knows. LOL. At least she's damn cute :-)
