Charlotte was running high at midnight (LOTS of pretzels and apples from her sister's snack at bedtime I'm guessing) so I gave her a 1/2 correction and went back to sleep.

At 3 I checked her again and she was still high so again I prepared to give 1/2 correction.

I sleepily got out the pen, wiped it, attatched the needle, clicked up 2 units for an "air shot" ...then stuck it in her little leg and pushed the plunger!

I meant to give a 1/2 unit! I yanked it out as soon as I realized that I was pushing way more than 1/2 unit into her and spent the rest of the night checking BG every 45 minutes.

She was still in range this morning though a little tired from the constant disturbance. I am glad my 2 older kids are home today so I can nap later!

Yikes! Pretzels are horrid for us, some people use them for lows I have heard  We still haven't found a ratio for those pesky monsters!

Man, that must have been stressful!! Fortunately you pulled it out before it was totally done. And if she was still in range this am, you must of caught it in time.

At least you probably won't do that again since you'll remember the sleepless night it causes.

Ouch!! There is nothing like realizing it is the wrong dosage as the insulin is being delivered....been there done that!! Oh, I have wished so many times that the pump has an UNDO button!!! LOL. Glad it turned out ok. Hope you can squeeze in a nap!!

I was sooooo looking forward to a nap then I found her with handful of pretzels again just before lunch.

She pushed a chair over to the cabinet and helped herself! Thats something new!

I have no idea how many she ate so now I get to test her through her (and what should have been my) naptime!

The pretzels are going to the compost bin right now!

I've been there, almost. When we were moving CJ's Launtus from am to pm, on Friday night I had him take it at 8. Sat down to pay some bills, etc, then panicked after i looked at the calendar thinking all of a sudden that it was Thursday and he just stacked his insulin! Calmly called him in the room and told him that I messed up, he said, "Mom, today is Friday, it's ok. Geeze!"
