when to check for ketones

when do you check for ketones? not sure how often I need to do it.

We check anytime when my DS is over 250.

We check anything over 240, or a low(80 or under) when he doesn't feel good.

We check if his is over 300 a few times in a row or if we can't explain a high number. We would check if he was sick but he's never been sick other than a slight cold since dx.

He's never had any type of ketones. If he had them often, we'd check more often.

anytime Kat is sick or has a major physical stressor, she usually does not make ketones more than trace (0.4 or less, gone within a day).
