We are going to do overnight basal testing tonight...any words of wisdom out there? Our insulin is off somewhere...I have no idea if it's in the basal or the bolus, but it's somewhere. So I'm going to start at the beginning and work my way down the list.
Pumping Insulin says to make sure the last bolus has been given 5 hours before you start, and the last carbs have been consumed 3 hours before you start. So tonight, I'll make sure she boluses by 5 and is finished with her dinner by 6, then I'll test at 9pm, 11pm, 1am, 3am, 5am, and 7am. I haven't pulled a true all-nighter in a while...this should be an adventure :-(.
Of course, this all assumes that she's in range when I'm ready to start, and that she doesn't go low during the test. Here's hoping!
