funny...only our children

Hi all,
This week has been our spring break and we took the kids to Cherokee,NC. While eating dinner there, (at a mexican rest.) we were talking about Birthdays. Ryan says " I really, really want a pinata and it doesn't even need candy, just fill it with splenda" I just want one. :)


Only our kids would say that. Needless to say, the kid is getting a pinata (I hope that's spelled correctly).

Aw! Definitely get him a pinata (yes, spelled right but needs a wiggly line above the n). You can put small toys in there along with some candy. Here's some tips: When you get the pinata, figure out how thick the newspaper is inside. If it is really thick and the kids are young (preschool and under), then use a knife on the inside to weaken it or it will be too hard to break. And when you go to break it with the kids, make sure all the kids are there and ready and make sure they all have a bag or something to put their loot in. Then make sure they all stand back...way back...so they don't get hit with the stick. We've done pinatas at many parties and they are great fun!!!

i couldnt find a good stick for pinsta once and used a mini hockey stick it worked great you can also go to the dollar store and get bouncy balls lanyards animal grow pills and other stuff great for a child your kids age

Thanks for the suggestions. We have done one for him when he was about 5 or 6. It's been a while. My kids love the dollar store. We will definitely be getting one and making his day extra special. :D
