:D:rolleyes: Well guys, sorry I have not posted lately, gave a few comments on other post last week I think. I had a bad had cold, almost flu like, so I have not been on much. Also had to get taxes together. Kiresten's BG is still all over the place. She is still having lows 3 to 5 a day and when we cut back she even a 1/2 she goes over 300 and stays there almost all day. The other day she was 45, 67 and tghen 56 all before dinner. After Dinner and bedtime snack she was 545 I di not give her a shot, because I still did not feel well and nedded the sleep. When her Dad got up at about 7:30 the next morning she was 78. She is determined to do the pump and not MDI, so we are going with the pump. It is the medtronic minmed 722 model. Insurance covering all but $2700 for the pump and three month supply. We are going to try it for the 30 day trial to see if it will make the difference. I know for many it has been life changing for the better and other still struggle, so we will see how it works for her. I am both nervous and excited. trying anything new is always a little scarey, I am curious about the increase in cost for supplies, and I am excited because I am hopefule this will work and maybe make it easier for her to be more involved in other things. Like staying with family members and her two best friends, going horse riding, vacations and going out for the day, etc. It should arrive at the Endo's office tomorrow and then we will wait to hear when the class and hookup day will be. Thank you for all of your support, help, and putting up with my questions. They have really been a big help. The sight alone has been an encouragement, a blessing. All have a great week:D

I'm sorry you've felt so badly. Congratulations on the decision to pump. It takes some time to get everything adjusted, so be prepared to keep changing often till the ratios, basals, isf, and duration are figured out. We are 3 wks. into pumping and still trying to find the right adjustments. Patience is a virtue, but when you can't find the patience anymore.. you have this place to vent in. ;) Keep us updated on your progress and again.... congratulations and best wishes for a great start.

We have dates for the pump. May 8th we do carb couting class, May 15th we learn pump operation and get to take home and play, then on the 20th she gets hooked up. Sure when we get to that point will have questions and need help keeping sanity until it gets settled and more under control. thanks every one for you support and help.:)
