O.k so I normally feed my kids Newman's microwave popcorn which is 18g per 3.5 cups. So I bring my girls to see the Dr. Seuss movie that's out and they eat popcorn & some Easter Candy. I dose the popcorn like it's the Newman's. But something was not right cause I was battling 400's all night! So what gives? Is there alot of fat in movie popcorn?? She's not sick and the pump is working???

I would think it's probably the fat.

They pour butter on movie popcorn. I haven't dared to try any with David yet. Fat does crazy things to BLG's

This happened to us this weekend. After Horton Hears a Who, her numbers were WAY higher than the carb book, which specifically mentioned movie theater popcorn, would have led us to account for. And we turned down the extra butter! I wonder what the real numbers are???

Popcorn throws Ginny off too, and I've always blamed the fat. Recently, though, I heard from other D parents that corn products really spike their childrens' BG and for a long time, too.

I really wish I had seen this post earlier:eek: We went to see the Horton movie on Friday. Well we only made it a little more than halfway through the movie. We went to see it w/friends who of course wanted to get popcorn. My friend asked if it was okay and I really wanted to say no but felt like I couldn't ask them to do that. Needless to say there was no telling Aiden that he couldn't have any. So he started to get really antsy and he was throwing a fit that he was tired. Sure enough after checking him using my cell phone as a light because the darn BD meter doesn't have one he was 340. I asked what he wanted to do and we decided it was best to go home. What a bummer! I then had to really bite my tongue later because my friend gave me a guilt trip because her daughter was so upset that we left. Arrh!!
