we are thinking about moving/immigrating to dubai in search of better health care for my 4 year old nephew who has type 1. your answer to the following questions is priceless for me.
- how is the diabetes health care there for non-citizens? i know that citizens there have a great insurance that even covers cgms. how about non-citizens?
- how can we become citizens there? i've heard that by buying a big enough property in dubai we'll be granted some kind of 'permanent residence'. now how is the insurance for such permanent residents? and how can they 'upgrade' to citizens?
thanks.

I am so sorry, I can't help you with these questions as I don't live in Dubai and have never been there either. I hope someone will come across your post and provide the answers to your questions.

HI PAYAAM ,
IN DUBAI IF YOU ARE NON-CITIZINE AND YOU HAVE A PRIVATE INSURANCE IT WILL COVER SOME OF THE COST LIKE INSULIN AND SOMETIMES NOT ALWAYS IT COVERS THE DISPOSABLES AS WELL.

thanks a lot for your time. i think i understood what i needed to.
I recently was asking about diabetes supplies in the Middle East on a different forum. I can post a link here, or send a PM to you (Payam7777777), depending on what forum rules consider appropriate.
The irony is: I also was referred here by a member from there. :)
