i read in a post that you were thinking about doing this i went to a health fair last year and they were showing the new acuchek system and doing random testing on people i went and ate lunch had chocolate cake for desert yum and withheld the insulin until i tested (i also forgot meter in car and was to lazy to go get it) i went up to the booth signed the paperwork for me and sam to test sam was 12.5 and my reading was Hi they took four different reading on me and called their supervisor for the last reading i told the first guy i had diabetes but i guess he forgot the supervisor was ready to ship me off with emt that were there demonstrating but the funny thing was they kept trying to give me fruit bars and pop until the supervisor said no thats for a low reading i couldnt help but laugh afterwards you would think they would know or at least educated on the difference if they are working those booths

i only did it cause i was to lazy to get monitor from car sam did it cause he wanted the free monitor i wouldnt of actually make myself that high intentionally it just happened that way it was funny to see their response but not when they actually thought their was an emergency that needed attention even though they tried to give me pop for it

So funny, my DW has pretty severe retinopathy in both eyes and no lens in the left with massive laser scars. Every time we walk past lenscrafters or target and they people offering free eye exams I try to get her to go and watch the optho freak out when he sees her eye.... she never thinks it's as funny as I do. Good story though, nice sense of humor!
