View Full Version : OT: Dancing w/ the Stars
I am not ashamed to say I am hooked on this show!! This is my 4th season watching and I usually pick a favorite early on. Well, after just watching Marrisa Jaret, she's the one!! She has so much energy, she is constantly smiling and just lights up that screen. She just seems like such a positive happy person. Ive seen her before on a Lifetime movie about a big woman in a beauty contest. Dont remember the title but it was a great movie.
As Len ( one of the judges ) just said, she can do much more than her partner gave her for this dance. I cant wait to watch her next week!! But they only got an 18!
I thought Id go w/ Priscilla Presley since Im a diehard Elvis fan ( I loved it when Ian Zierling did Elvis on this show) but guess not.
Any other DWTS fans?

We watch this religiously. My favorite show.
I agree, Marlee and Kristi are going to be good. And Priscilla surprised me...but I want to see how she does with the latin dances....
I like Marissa, but someone needs to give the girl a sedative or bottle that energy for me. LOL.

I love this show! I wish I could get my DH take up ballroom dancing!! The girls and I watched both nights and I love Kristi Y. Pricilla was very good as was Marlee. But Pricilla's mouth is frightening! Too much of some sort of work (was that catty??). Steve Guttenberg was surprisingly good, too.
I probably won't watch every night but I do really like it.
Yea I think Priscilla hit that plastic surgery button once too often. I dont understand why, she is naturally such a beautiful woman. And did you see that Lisa Marie was in the audience? She's pregnant w/ twins now. I saw some tabloids on her appearance comparing her to her father. Come on, the woman is 40 & pregnant. Give her a break!!
Lanie loves to watch w/ me every week. She gets upset that she only gets to watch 1/2 an hour since bedtime is 8:30. Last year when they had all those kids do that dance, she was enthralled!!
Marissa definatelly needs to bottle that energy and sell it but still its just so nice to see someone so happy!! And Kristi was so graceful!! She is going to be one to watch for sure!! I missed Marlee's performance but saw the judging and from what I hear she was amazing since she cant hear a thing. Can't wait til next week. :)
If anyone else is watching this tonight, did you see that amazing acrobatic performance 1/2 way thru?? Oh my Lord it was awesome!! :)
Btw....Kristi Yamaguchi is gonna clean up!! :)

I am a Marlee fan but then I am partial. She is Deaf like me.
I should have mentioned her also, sorry lol....Joey was talking to me about his new girlfriend (2nd this month) while I was posting. Marlee is amazing. My step sister is deaf but has residual hearing and uses a hearing aid most of the time ( she gets a lot of ear infections ). But she lives up in CT & I dont get to see her but once or twice a year so I couldnt ask her. I loved that Marlee took the time to explain what its like for her to be on the dance floor. That its like hearing the music under the water ( for her) I did wonder about that, about how she dances so well while not being able to hear the music. She is a great dancer also!! Ive watched her on many a TV show or movie. She is an amazing woman. :)

I can't believe that Marlee dances the way she does. She is amazing. I cry every time I watch her. I think she is great.
Now the only other thing I have to say is Jason Taylor, that man is HAWT:p

I like Kristi I think she will win on the ladies side; Marlee is amazing I think she will be a close second; Priscilla looks like Madam the puppet.

On the news this morning they said the Priscilla is going in for treatments to repair a botched lip injection. You think?:eek:

I love this show! I taught ballroom dance lessons while I was in college. I got a job as a receptionist at a dance studio, and started taking lessons, before I new it I was teaching! :eek: I wasn't very good, but I had lots of fun. Although, I did dance a mean tango! :cool:

I know this is an old thread....and should be moved to the new OT section, but since I can't do that...
BUT, this is the perfect thread to post this link on.
