First of all this is probably a terrible investment. I would not recomend it to anyone. But living cell technology has what I think is the best chance for my son to live a normal life. They have had great, but limited success so far. They implant porcine (read Pig) pancrease cells wrapped in a seaweed concoction that allows insulin to flow through, but not let the bodys imune cells to penetrate and attack the foreign (read pig again) cells. This means that there is no need for anti-rejection drugs that devastate the body as bad as the darn diabetes in the first place. The reason I have such hope is, well it's working pretty well so far. Beyond that even if the pig cells don't work out, they maybe able to wrap human cells form some as yet unknown source. No legitamate self respecting government would allow the mixing of different species body parts. But Russia agreed. Because of the success the trials will now spread to self respecting governments, including the U.S. Patents were recently approved allowing the trails to begin to move forward. Not for a year or two and only for a few pioneering people in Colorado. But it is my best hope for now. Please don't buy this stock unless you see it as an investment in a potential cure. It almost surely won't make you any money.
