I was thinking about trying this thing, but only if you can reuse the lancets, Is it better then the Multi click?

Yes, Maddie uses a Pelikan. After 5 years of refusing to test on finger tips (let's just say her hospital trauma was all lodged in finger sticks) and using her forearm only I felt I needed to do something drastic to break through.
She has NO complaint with the Pelikan, I think she actually likes it:cwds:
But, it ain't cheap. And I have heard from another parent that you can reuse the lancet wheel we haven't tried yet.
As far as she is concerned it's painless, as I haven't used the mutli-clix I can't compare the two - but people really like that one too.
If the marketing hype is true, the pelikan also aviods the damage that spring loaded lancers do. And to which her poor forarms can attest - she has been asked if she was biitten by a dog on her forearms where she's been testing.
Pelikan $200, Lancets $15 per 100, letting her arms heal... Priceless:cwds:

OK, let me get this straight you cant use the same lancet for one day, you have to use them one at a time and then if you want to reuse it you start back with 50

Yes, it's a wheel. You never touch the lancet. I'll check with Paige's Dad, or if you run into him on the chat he will know how to reuse. But it's designed for single use for each of the 50 lancets in the wheel.
Like that's clear as mud:o

I use to use this device. You are not able to reuse the lancet at first, you have to advance the wheel before you can poke again. This makes it go to a new needle. After you use an entire wheel you are able to put that wheel back in if you want to and use it again.
In my opinion there is no real difference between the multiclix and the pelikansun's lancing device.

Does the mulitclix easier on the fingers? I hate to hear lancing when it is about my baby girls fingers:(

Yes the multiclix is much easier. It is cam driven and not spring loaded if that makes any sense? It has a straight down and up action where the typical lancing device goes down and wiggles side to side before coming back out. I love the multiclix. The Pelikan Sun is very expensive. I just couldn't see spending $200 for a device. Also tried one at the Focus on Pumping conference. I thought it stung where I have never had that problem with the multiclix. Of course it is a personal choice.

I think everyone has different opinions on them all. Over and over I have asked my son about the Multiclix I gave him if he likes it better than any other lancing device. Repeatedly he tells me it is no better just the same. After all the raving reviews on the Multiclix here on CWD, I keep asking him expecting a different reply from him. ;) I'm just not getting it from him. :)
