I got the letter yesterday.:( The reasons they gave were that they were not contracted with my insurance and that Molly has a working pump and did not fall into the category of someone that qualified for a new pump. I wonder if her pump was out of warranty if it would be a different story. Her pump is 3 years old. Our old insurance company paid for it. They said I could file an appeal. At this point I don't know on "what grounds" though. I'm going to do start doing some research. Right now I'm pretty upset.
Has anyone else gone through anything similar and then successfully appealed?

I know we were told that our insurance (Blue Cross) would not cover another pump until this one is out of warranty - four years. Maybe that is the case for you as well?

I think in most cases, they won't cover a new one until the old one is out of warranty

I think you are both right. I hate to tell Molly to wait a year:( I was ready to pay out of pocket, but my husband thinks we should wait. I see his point , but I was really anxious. I will still see what I can do, but if it doesn't work out, the good thing is the Omnipod will only get better between now and then... I guess;)
