We were having great success with placing the pod on Adin's thighs until recently. :( Now we are lucky if we get 24 hours with out it alarming. He is getting alot more exercise of late and I suspect that is playing a part in it. He is either thinning out in the thighs so it is hitting muscle or all the running around is making it bump into the muscle. Either way we need to stop using the thighs at the moment.

We never used his tummy for shots cause we can't pinch an inch. Do you think we should try a tummy site? Any advice on placement?

Please help.

The tummy has always been our best site. We place the pod horizontally in either orientation around belly button level.

Shelly, just wondering about the alarms. Are you sure it's pod placement and not a pod problem? Maybe a bad batch. We've had a few lately.

Anyhow, my daughter can't pinch an inch either on her tummy, but she uses it there successfully.

Hmm? I am not sure. We have been getting quite a few duds and it is frustrating. I have 2 pod malfunctions that I need to call and get replaced and I plan on asking about this one also. It has a different alarm code (-00148), but it didn't say occlusion just alarmed and deactivated it.

Anybody want to compare codes with me or know what the codes mean? I suspect -00064 is a malfunction of some sort because these are the ones I am getting while priming before attachment. What about -00081?

What about -00081? Insulet told me that this code was leading them to believe it was static. Wear a dryer sheet in a pocket or use the spray stuff for static.
Cannot help on the other code.

:o Forgive me for asking such a silly question but where should I spray the static stuff? On his clothes or the pod? Have you tried the dryer sheet does it work?

We had a 64 yesterday while priming too. I can't remember any other ones. My guess is if it's not an occlusion, its a pod problem. I'd call them. See what they say...

we stick just a little part of the dryer sheet hanging out of the pants whever the pod is placed and that seems to have worked.
We had 3 pods fail with the 81 number but sinc using the dryer sheet, it has not happended again.
I do not use the spray stuff so I wasn't sure either.:o
