I stumbled across this site and thought I'd share some info that I've collected along the way. I hope it will be helpful.

What is Celiac Disease? (http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/celiac/index.htm)

About 3 to 8 percent of people with type 1 diabetes will have biopsy-confirmed celiac disease

Just wanted to add a couple more articles.

I hope everyone has had their child, and themselves, tested for celiac. More data is showing a higher incidence of celiac in people with type 1 diabetes than had previous been suspected.

Children With Celiac Disease Are at a Higher Risk for Type 1 Diabetes and Death From Diabetes (ADA - 2006) (http://www.diabetes.org/diabetes-research/summaries/Ludvigsson-children-with-celiac-at-Higher-Risk-for-type1.jsp)

Thanks Anne for finding these!
