I want to put a book into print, for people to purchase, and all or most of the proceeds (publishing costs that I know nothing about yet) would go to sending children with diabetes to Diabetes Camps!
I have approached some publishers, and organizations, and would like the book to contain real life stories from real parents and kids with diabetes along the following topics.
1. funny stories
2. sad stories/ sweet stories
3. how you learned something or came up with a treatment idea, (like treating lows with skittles, or filling test strip vials with sweetarts for lows, etc)
4. Daily struggles with the public, difficulties, etc. school problems. How you deal with these struggles, what you teach your kids.
I have a format to this book, but would like to get as many stories to add, and will be doing so with parents from D camp also.
So, if anyone would like to contribute, please feel free to do so, I cleared this with Jeff a while ago, and finally have found some time to get a bit done, so you can PM me your story!
