going on a mission trip to mexico on minimed pump cgms just wondering if i should go get basa insulin in case and how much supplies i should take for 2 weeks going to juarez right across border to el paso so if i need to sure someone will drive me there for stuff (but can be long wait at border) and not something i want to inconvienience any one with please any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

for out-of-the Country trips where MM can't do overnight Service. That would be lots better than switching to Novo or NPH or Lantus if you lost something, or it broke. I don't know for sure what Minimed's trip loan options are. But I'm about 99% sure that they loan spares for people on Cruise ships, and your trip sounds similarly difficult to deliver an emergency replacement.
(I actually OWN multiple pumps, one already programmed and ready to use in less than one minute, so I don't ever have to worry about backups.:cwds:)
I'd Double everything else-- 4 weeks worth, especially Sensors.
