Well, we beat the ice cream highs all night on the 1st dual wave we have tried for it...but Maddison also went too low (60)

What works for you on ice cream? Our ice cream was 1/2 cup with 19c with 2g protein and 7g fat. I honestly forgot what I did and didn't even log it!! I was so mad at myself for forgetting. I think I added the 7gr fat and extended that over 2.50 hours. Not sure.....Anyway, how do you guys do it on the dual/square wave?

I just judge ice cream as 15 grams for 1 rounded scoop, then give the normal insulin for however many carbs of ice cream he ate...Were on shots, but nothing special, and it works out great:D

I really think Seth is a weirdo though, because nothing affects him any differantly than everything else...Not even pizza:confused:

I would have bolused 21 carbs over 3-4 hours at a 70/30 dual-wave bolus. But that's just what works for us; you'll have to experiment and see what will work for you.

If she went low early on, it sounds like too much insulin was front-loaded. Try reducing the initial percentage by 10 or 20 points and see what happens.

When we first began experimenting with pizza and ice cream, we started with 50/50 and gradually found that 70/30 worked better for us.
