I'm down to my last couple of IV Prep things...and we're leaving town on Monday for the week. (Procrastinate much?! :p ) I haven't found anywhere locally that carries it...
So, is there a downside to just using alcohol swabs to sterilize the pump site? Are we going to have sticky issues? Or is there another, more available, substitute that works better?
I can't even order until we get home because we wont' be here to receive it.
Do you have a mailing address where you'll be? I can stick a few in the mail tomorrow morning if it would help.

Do you have a local medical supply store?

We've never used anything but regular alcohol to prep a site - it's worked just fine. Hope that helps! :)

we are using just alcohol swabs and not having any issues with sites coming loose, even with baths.

We've used IV prep before, but we don't have sticking issues without it so we just usually use regular alcohol swabs.

I have done sites without ivprep.. I use double alcohol just to make sure its clean.. you shouldn't have sticky issues, unless you have them anyway, or are in the pool.. you might be able to get skin tac or mastisol or some other type of sticky stuff at a pharmacy..

Thanks for the responses.
Beth thank you so much for offering to put them in the mail. I appreciate that. I actually know a mom of a pumper so if I thought I really needed them I could probably borrow them from her...I just didn't want to do that if it wasn't necessary.
It's good to know there aren't sticky issues without it. We have had sticky issues before but most likely because of swim team practice. We are going to Disneyland so won't be swimming all week so I think we'll be fine.
Thanks for the help.
