i think that is what its called. (d when pregnant) does it go away after giving birth? A friend of my sons is 17, pregnant and takes humalog.

It often does, but 50-65% of those with Gestational Diabetes will develop Type 2 Diabetes later in life.

I had Gestational diabetes, no insulin but diet controlled during pregnancy. It did go away but I watch for warning signs of Type 2, especially since my mother is Type 2
