Wow, that was quite the story. I remember seeing that on the news and thinking for sure she was going to die. On that link it says her blood sugar was 594 and they gave her 5 units of Lantus. I can't help but wonder how much good that did, but it obviously saved her life.

Thank you for sharing that video link. My son is 3 months into his Type I diagnosis as an adult. The last few days I've thought about disasters and having the diabetic supplies on hand. How scarey for this woman, but how wonderful that this nurse took charge. So much to think about when a diabetes diagnosis becomes part of your life.
