We have been having so much success I am afraid to say anything for fear of jinxing everything.
THe most difference she has had with readings is about 50 points when she is having fluctuations.
We are finding that we are able to skip some of those I want to know what her bloodsugar is finger sticks. She even commented that to me yesterday. Although she did say that when her fingers rest they start to hurt more again.:(
We just restarted this senser this morning after a very nice, perfect, glorious 7 days of reading and it is still reading perfectly. Now, not to down play poor parts we ddo have to restart each sensor normally about 12 hours after the first day. That has happended to the last 5 sensors. But, even up to that point and then after reads very well.
We are only use the butt for senser placement right now but I cannot wait to try the arm as well.
We are extremely happy with our "cookie". My daughter named it.
Now if only I can win one of these appeals from insurance.;)

insurance might be a problem for Dexcom, though (currently approved only for ADULTS). Would you be willing to make an offer to buy-and-try Guardian, and then either accept Guardian as "nearly as good" or stake your Dexcom claim on "proven effectiveness of Dexcom's system in Lillian"?

please feel free to emeal me your latest denial letter, I'll tell you what I think of it. If your Endo already sent a good letter of Medical Necessity, then more repetition won't help. This stage calls for one TARGETED letter from you, I think. :cwds:

HI, Sent you a private but wanted to state that no, we would not try the guardian unless we were assured of receiving a different rep from minimed.
I tried to reserach both brands and the rep from minimed was beyond rude and arrogant.
We are on the omnipod and when that was stated he told me when I wanted a real pump to call them but not bother him about the guardian.
So, nope. Not for us. Their sales people represent their company and I am not interested. i would rather [ay out of pocket then have treatment like that.
Although, I completely understand your argument for trying it.;)
Thanks again,
Allene
