A1C has virtually stayed the same from 7.8 to 7.7. THis was with the death of my grandmother, holiday traveling me being sick all of Dec. so I was pleased there. Still showing negative for Thyroid and Celiac issues.
NOw, this is the same endo who has yelled at me in the past about changing ratios myself. So, I show him my book of basal changes all prepared for an agurment of why I did what I did and he jots them all down and says...Great Job.
THen tells me that he is very excited about learning about the Dexcom since it is new to his office. Again,. We were told by his staff and nurse that he wanted nothing to do with it. They were a ped endo and had never heard of that brand, blah, blah, blah. Also that I was never to speak of the Dexcom to him and he would NEVER look at a site that was placed. SO, I bring this up to him and he wants to know which staff members. I told him who and he tells me that I should always check with him as nurses do not think like a doctor..So, I then said he should train his staff better with his likes and dislikes.
Anyway, bloodwork good, he is writing appeals with my family doc for the Dexcom, I am happily changing ratios myself and not feel like he is breathing down my neck.
Life is good. THe simple pleasures keep me going.
