Just wondering if anyone else has this experience:

You wake up with a low blood sugar and cannot think ALL DAY!!

I may be a little unusual , I'm not sure. I have been type 1 for 34 years, am in tight control on the pump. Back in my 20s I would get low all the time. My co workers used to come to my apartment to give me juice if I didn't show up for work in the morning. This happened a lot for a few years. I did not feel lows. Could be standing up holding a conversation when I would begin convulsing. Only then did I know to get some juice. Even though my Dr. said this is impossible, the meter showed I was "low" (below 10) quite often. But then again, that's the same doctor who said I should only be testing 4x/day and refused to write me a RX for more strips. (He's gone)

Anyway, the head in the clouds all day thing doesn't always happen, but always after being low all night. It's to the point that I had to look at my mail for my name this morning. I know the science behind why all this is happening, but was wondering if anyone else gets this?

I'd end up with half-a-brain for the whole durn day. Maybe you ought to get a CGMS.

I like your thinking, but my insurance company doesn't. I don't get the lows as often as I use to. I just think once you have subjected your brain to that for so long (low so many times and for so long each time) it can't recoupe quickly. Oh well, other than that I am working on 34 years with no other complications. I can't complain!!!!! :)
