I just wanted to share that Precision Xtra has new blood ketone strips that require 75% less blood and only take 10 seconds. (This was mentioned on a thread earlier this week.) I had to have my pharmacist special order them, but they are great!!!
I used one yesterday and it is SOOO much better and easier than the old design! I highly recommend that you ask about them the next time you refill your Rx.
They work with the same meter, and the order number is 70745-35. There are 10 in a box, (it seems like it was 8 before, is that right???).
Oh, I also wanted to mention great glucose gel I found. CVS brand, (other pharmacies probably carry it too) glucose gel. It is in a clear measured squeeze tube, so you can give 5, 10, or 15 grams of fast acting sugar. This is great for us because Emma is too little for the tablets, and with cake gel we never know how much we've used. She usually only needs 5 or 10g at a time. It comes 3 tubes in a pack for around $11.
