Put in new sensor, it bleed, now there is a bruise

I put in a new sensor yesterday.
It bleed quite heavy.
Today It is sore and I see that there is a bruise around the site.
Is this OK or should I pull it out?

how are the readings? you may have nicked a vein.. does it look infected at all? if there is any question about infection pull it.. if its sore and bruised but looks ok otherwise and you are getting good readings I'd wait and see how it goes..

We have had a few bleeders that have left a bruise but they were also our most accurate sensors. I would keep a close eye on it and if the soreness continues through tommorow or you see signs of infection I would pull it, if not then I would leave it.
