Figured you guys would understand, so thought I'd share. My strip script was for 8/day and I was getting worried I'd run out. I just got a phone call from supply company- my doctor upped it to 12/day and insurance isn't fighting. Woohoo!

good for you for measuring so often - sounds like you're right on top of things!
It's always reassuring to have a "cushion" with regards to your D supplies. I tend to panic when we get low on something and I realize that I've forgotten to renew a script! Start your stockpile!!

The problem wasn't honestly that I'm actually testing 12x everyday. It was that I was testing more than 8 consistently. I try to at the minimum test before and 2 hrs after each meal and at bedtime. Sometimes I'll test before driving if it's been awhile. If I'm driving some place more than an hour away, I'm gonna test again while driving. If I'm low, that's at a minimum 2 more tests a day. If I'm exercising, my endo wants me testing before, after, and during. So through in 3 more tests those days (though before often corresponds w/ after a meal). So it works out to 10 a day often, then you get those really bad days when I find I tested 16 times. Plus I try and keep some supplies and home and college. So it just is nice to have that cushion.
