Hi everyone,

Can anyone recommend a website that has "no carb recipes" on it. We need to do some more basal testing for Adam and carrots and cheese are wearing thin, even for a 2 year old. So any suggestions would be great.

Thanks.
Sharon

I don't think you can eat when you are basal testing. I found this link for basal testing. Don't know what you think. http://www.centremedsurg.com/Forms/Basal%20Rate%20Worksheets.pdf

Any calorie of any kind will eventually raise bg so you wont get an accurate basal test unless you use stuff without calories, so no carb wont cut it. I shorten the time if my DD can't handle the whole time. I do 6 hours from start to finish with SF cool aide Popsicles, SF jello is good as well. Push the water, or no cal flavored drinks like SF root beer, or even make Popsicles out of pop, but make sure to keep him hydrated. Also if you do carbonation it kind of gives a false sense of being full. Good luck, Jamie
